Short Bio

Vicenç Gómez is a post-doctoral researcher in the Artificial Intelligence group at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPFellows grant).
He obtained the B. Sc. degree in Computer Science Engineering at the Facultat d'Informàtica de Barcelona of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in 2003 and his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Digital Communication at the Department of Information and Communication Technologies of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in 2008. He then joined the machine learning group at the Radboud University, Nijmegen (The Netherlands) with Prof. Dr. H. J. Kappen where he has performed research within several european projects for five years. His research focuses on machine learning and optimal control in applications to different areas such as robotics, complex networks and brain computer interfaces. See the [research statement]
