Welcome

I hold a position at Radboud Uni Nijmegen, NeuroPhysics (and until Oct 2021, at Leuven Uni, NeuroPsychology). I am distinguished research associate at Eindhoven Technical Uni. I am an inventor at Philips where we use fundamental neuroscience insights for inventions in Healthcare and Imaging Innovation. Read below about my research at Berkeley, MIT, Utrecht, Leuven, and Nijmegen.

National Television Interview
Our work appeared as a central topic on national television in "Klokhuis".
This was a fantastic experience. View movie. And recently there was an interview on deprived sensory experience in TopDoks, April 28, 2019.

and guess what?.........
I have achieved the status of "cover boy" (for an interview ... Alas, it is just on the U-blad)

Okay, there is an interview in Science (326) but this was only a few lines.
It was about EYE MEETS I, a project with artist Bradley Pitts. We presented an elliptical mirror bringing observers back to the CYCLOPS experience. In this mirror your left eye sees you right eye, and vice versa, wherever you look, meaning that your own "big brother" eye constantly follows you.......

ART-PERCEPTION Installation: The 'supper effect' is a 'live lab for mirror neurons' created by artist Maria Lalou that took place in the framework of the summer events program in galery outLINE in Amsterdam (Aug 18-24).
A participant tastes food that was presented in mirroring bowls that were placed on a mirror table. All walls of the room were mirrors as well. Such a mirror environment produced a very intense taste sensation. In a live presentation my role was to interact with Maria and the audience on the scientific part of 'supper effect'

Check out the neurofeedback presentation at Outdoor Extrema or the show in the Royal Circus Theater Carre on visual illusions ........ ......... or a few cool demos of our research.
