Projects & Jobs in our lab (update in progress)
For Bachelor and Master students:
There are a number of projects of 6, 9 and 12 months available.
Over the last years we have had 18 students from the Master NeuroScience & Cognition; 22 from (Bio-)Physics (including theoretical physics); 15 from Biology; 4 from Artificial Inteligence; 10 from Psychology. All of them have found a job; some of them have research jobs at important foreign Universities like Oxford, London, Tuebingen and VanderBilt. Six of them got their degree Cum Laude.
All of the projects can involve a (paid) internship at Philips Research Laboratories (Dept Brain, Body & Behavior). Most of the projects can be done at the BioPhysics Dept of Radboud University, others at the Laboratory of Experimental Psychology in Leuven. At both places I have an affiliation as Professor.
We have projects with different flavors (this list is dynamic, meaning that it may not be up to date):
attentional control, eye movements; multi-modal sensory integration; Stuttering; Stroke Rehabilitation
Bloodpressure: Experiment and building computational models for role of vestibular signals;
Empirical research on human cognitive functioning:
Find optimal light settings for optimal performance (we need multiple students);
Test Bayesian cue-conflict computational model for body-clock;
Test computational models for role of vestibular signals in bloodpressure
Test multisensory approach in sleep onset delay study using EEG
Test role flickering light for study on brain-computer interfaces;
